ICM recently completed a concrete chimney dismantlement project in Ontario. The job involved a 550 foot tall concrete smelter stack which had served the industry for many years. After a thorough inspection, ICM determined that there was a safety hazard to personnel working around the base of the chimney and the decision was taken to remove the top 15’ of the chimney.
The work had to be done during a very short window during a shutdown. ICM installed our unique special access tubular frame scaffold around the top section of the chimney providing our workers full access to do the work safely and quickly. The project was completed safely, on time and on budget. The smelter stack is now safe and secure.
